We are Digging Deep in this build with additional milling options beyond Energy Absorption in the form of Goldballs and Sharpshooter. This additional means of thinning our deck helps our set-up by discarding Bishop's Rifle and Bishop's Uniform faster and then retrieving them back to our hand via Temporally Displaced.
The fact that Energy Conversion can recycle Digging Deep is what really made me want to try and lean into it more. I did consider No Quarter but figured that dropping the basic double resources was not worth the sacrifice.
Sharpshooter is kind of a nuts card here, especially after an Energy Conversion. Effectively 9 out of the 16 resources will provide +2 damage with Bishop's Rifle - 3 Stored Energy, 3 basic double resources and 3 Digging Deep, because Digging Deep then gets added to your hand, it effectively serves as +2 damage with Bishop's Rifle.
It is very easy for Bishop to keep 3 allies on the table at a time, as both Malcolm and Randall have inbuilt potential healing and Lockjaw is just always going to be around, as long as we sequence our cards correctly. This gives rise to Boot Camp and having those allies attack more, especially Malcolm and even Randall with their inbuilt readying up. "You'll Pay for That!" then steps in to provide additional thwarting as our allies will be used more for attacking.
