I thought this wouldn't play as well as Legacy versions of Silk because she lost access to Web of Life and Destiny and several basic WEB-WARRIOR allies, but it exceeded my expectations!

Spider-Man: Peter Parker with an Energy Shield attached or Scarlet Spider in play stays in play "FOREVER", allowing you to thwart or attack multiple times each turn. It looks like there aren't enough icons to make Energy Shield reliable, but there are also plenty of icons to cover it.

One such is on Across the Spider-Verse which I never played in 14 games because the allies I REALLY care about are staying in play the entire game! I decided to keep in in the deck though because:

• I might play it some time and...
• it does have that which is an extra (which also makes playing Spider-Man: Peter Parker easier).

I never played Spider-Byte for 0, but I played him for 1 several times.

With villain stuns coming from Stun Gun and Mockingbird and a DEF of 4 with Defensive Conditioning (or more with Spider Reflexes) in play, Hidden Base looks unnecessary and it kind of is because I played several game in which I either never took damage or was healed back to full by the end of the game. But getting a tough lets you NOT defend on the villain phase, allowing you to use your readies to "do extra work".
