This is an upgrade based solo perfect defense deck.

The core gameplan is to block the villain's attack and use Vibranium Microweave, Energy Barrier, and Ops Room to turn any extra damage you would take to clear out minions and keep the main scheme under control while drawing cards with Unflappable and Change of Fortune.

Note that Ops Room only works if you or an ally defend against an attack, while Microweave and Energy Barrier work any time you would take damage, including from non-attack sources. Managing your defenses and keeping enough of these cards in play to manage incoming damage are the most important keys to success here.

The presence of these cards is also why there are no extra DEF boosters in this deck. Typically you want the villain's attack to be a couple of points over your DEF to trigger the cards that reduce damage and do something useful. However, if you're up against a villain that regularly throws out 6+ damage you may want to add in Armored Vest and/or Defensive Conditioning. If the villain is particularly fond of making extra activations, you may want to put in a third Indomitable or a couple of defense events.

Angel's Aerie is another very important card, since it allows you to heal without exhausting.

The ally list is somewhat flexible, but these are my favorites. Cannonball won't always be able to act without taking consequential damage since this deck isn't loaded with Aerial cards, but I think he's still worth it for the flexibility of thwart and damage and since he's Aerial himself Falcon's Flock can help pay for him. Patriot can help block on turns where you'd be overwhelmed, or he can use the Tough cards he get to make attacks without taking consequential damage. Spider-Byte will often be free or very cheap due to your Tech cards, and once you get White Widow into play she will often stick around for the whole game due to her healing from Preparations.

Speaking of Preparation, this deck uses Ready for a Fight but isn't as reliant on it as some protection decks. It's mose useful early on before you've built up properly and you may need to flip to Alter-Ego more often. One reason it's less important is that you also can flip down with Aerial Evacuation, though the timing for that can be a bit awkward. The ideal time to do it is if the last encounter card you get is a villain attack: Send out an ally to defend, then use Aerial Evacuation to prevent the damage and flip down. You don't get the extra card draw from being in alter-ego, but you can still heal from Angel's Aerie, and right after you flip down you can pick up a Tough card from Hidden Base if you want to skip defending against a villain attack or you're very low on health.
