I really wanted to build a deck for Quicksilver that would be fun, thematic, consistent, and strong enough for solo Expert. I also insisted on Aggression because Friction Resistance plus Jarnbjorn is just too cool to pass up. After a lot of tinkering with the exact cards and numbers, this is currently my favorite version of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes archetype for Quicksilver. It handles all kinds of problems surprisingly well.
-
Prof X, Psylocke and Mockingbird are your only non-Avengers teammates, but they provide invaluable support in the form of Stun and Confuse. No Nick Fury here, I don't think he's required!
-
The rest of the crew are all Avengers, so you can play Earth's Mightiest Heroes with them. Blade is used almost exclusively as an EMH battery.
-
The deck has a ton of Energy resources, making Wasp, Thor, and Valkyrie consistently powerful.
-
Even with all these allies, you will be facetanking a lot of damage still, so Endurance and Down Time are here to help you survive and recover. Quicksilver really wants to be flipping down to Alter Ego anyway so he can use his powerful Superpowered Siblings ability and stack the deck with Serval Industries.
-
Spoiling for a Fight is another "free" ready for Quicksilver, but remember to use it carefully. Always be aware of what minions are still in the deck and avoid summoning something really nasty!
-
The single copy of Into the Fray has really been putting in the work for me. Quicksilver kind of struggles with managing threat and this can help alleviate that problem in one big swing.
-
Battle Fury feels like a natural fit for Quicksilver so it's making an appearance here as well. It's really fun to take down a Guard minion and then immediately ready back up to beat up the villain.
-
And last but definitely not least: Jarnbjorn and Friction Resistance is one of the coolest little synergies in the game for me. Just so satisfying. It feels weird that a Thor-themed weapon is best suited for Pietro but hey, I'll take it.
And there you go! I am of course aware that this is a well-known deck archetype for Quicksilver, but this particular list has been super fun and effective in my experience so I decided to share it. Hope you have fun with it as well!
Oh and as soon as I get my copy of Civil War, Aggressive Conditioning is definitely getting added here. Probably replacing Battle Fury.
Anyway. Cheers!
