Hawkeye On The Fly

This is a Hawkeye Repurpose deck using some of the new toys from the AoS wave! Ran through all of Core and RoRS on Standard.

The premise of this deck is to take advantage of the discount Clint Barton gets on FitzSimmons for being S.H.I.E.L.D. traited. From there, the Repurpose archetype takes over, enabling Hawkeye to flex into the needs of the scenario.

Mulligan priority is (as always with Hawkeye) Hawkeye's Quiver. Cards you really want to see early are Leo Fitz and Expert Marksman.

The sleeper hit of this deck was Forcefield Generator. Being able to put it up and take a hit before repurposing it for +3 to a stat was killer.

Honorable mentions that could have been in this deck:

Electrostatic Armor is a classic in Repurpose decks. Didn't make it in here in favor of Stun Gun, which is basically another electric arrow with a little added versatility in high-minion scenarios.

I really wanted Leading Blow to work in this deck, but unfortunately, it just didn't. If you get it to work, please hit me up, I'd love to try again.

Experience with the deck:

The Core villains went down easy, Ultron presented the hardest challenge, but the Explosive Arrow was designed for drone swarms.

The Rise of Red Skull villains were a little harder. Hawkeye struggled through Zola and Red Skull. I took three losses to RS before finally getting a win. The deck's main weakness is the difficulty Hawkeye has with thwarting. If Cable Arrow doesn't hit your hand at the right time, you're just going to lose. Repurpose can help by boosting your THW, but you really only want to do this if you're in danger of losing to threat, as every boost to THW is an ATK that didn't get boosted.
