The most important thing to keep in mind is that he do in fact be gemmin.
The second most important thing is to flip almost every turn, and try to sequence your cards so that your most insane cards get shuffled back in. X men education lets you shuffle your best magneto cards as well. Playing Metal Shards 6 times per deck pass is a hell of a drug.
Moira is a huge early pull, symbiote suit is also bananas (flipping with 8 cards BEFORE you magnetic pull is chef's kiss). Once you get your cape for an auto ready and armor to boost those stats your go all out and push ahead events will be HUGE.
If you wanted to cut the deck down to 40 I think you could lose Uncanny X-men and/or Push Ahead, especially if you're playing with some thwart heavy players in multi-player.
