Jubilee's strengths don't make her a natural fit for protection. As of this write-up, there are just 8 Jubilee protection decks and it's not hard to see why. She gets insane bonuses to attack and thwart events and protection just doesn't have many of those.
That said, Ready for a Fight is really funny on Jubilee. Jubilee has 3x each of Flash of Light and Firecracker, giving her ready access to stun and confuse. We can get to 5x of each status by adding 2x Tackle, Professor X, and even a copy of Unlikely Duo since Wolverine is joining anyway. We can also give Jubilee 5x tough cards with 3x Hard Knocks and 2x "Come Get Me, Bub!"
And maybe you see where this is going. With this deck, it becomes really hard for the villain to do anything with their activation when Jubilee is in AE and has a copy of RFAF in play.
- If the villain is confused, they don't scheme and RFAF doesn't trigger, and the villain doesn't accomplish anything.
- If the villain isn't confused, but is stunned, RFAF triggers but the attack fizzles, and the villain doesn't accomplish anything.
- If the villain is clear of status effects, Jubilee likely has a tough card or an ally in front of her (who also may have a tough card) and the villain mostly doesn't accomplish anything.
That's 15 cards in the deck (not including allies) that can just shut down the villain's activation while in AE and 10 that shut it down while in hero phase. Jubilee doesn't especially like AE, but it's extra card draw and she gets even more with Moira MacTaggert.
Hard Knocks and Tackle become quite the workhorses . Jubilee's Sunglasses effectively transform them from aspect cards into (respectively) Metal Shards and Heroic Strikes. Consistent flips mean Wolvie is getting plenty of healing, so this deck is not lacking damage.
Everything else is pretty much fuel. Protection's attack events have lots of so I balanced that with cards and generators. The sunglasses are the deck's most important card. Build Support and Shopping Spree will help you find them and I recommend you grab one of the three cards in your opening mulligan.
I hope you enjoy this silly deck! Her hero upgrades and events make her a lot of fun to play and quite the wrecking ball, even in (arguably!) her "worst" aspect.

But this deck is really clever. Tackle and Hard Knocks are actually goat-level cards for Jubilee. Awesome deck!! |
Aug 07, 2025Really like the Rfaf idea here to flip back and ignore the Attack. Good stuff! |
Aug 08, 2025Thanks all! Appreciate the kind words.

Aug 08, 2025I've just been playing a multiplayer Jubilee Protection deck in an Expert X-force campaign, and I did notice there weren't many when I was looking for inspo putting it together. It was a bit clunky but still fun, maybe I'll publish it! Ready for a Fight seems really fun in this deck, with all the Villain Phase flipping, I wonder if some copies of Perseverance would be any good? Cool deck! |

I was shocked when you said there was only 8 protection decks for her (one of them is mine lol) , I had to go and check. Sure, it's her "worst" aspect, or the one she has the least options for, but she's so versatile, I think there's a lot she can do. I might have to post another now! (Fun status-lock deck btw!)
