An arsenal of weapons

What does the Winter Soldier a.k.a Bucky Barnes bring to the battle? His arsenal of weapons of course!

WS with rifle

The idea of this deck is pretty simple: put a lot of weapons on the board, exhaust them for awesome events and handle damage and threat at the same time. Easy enough! Let's look at the game plan:

1. Get as many weapons as possible on the board

This deck includes six weapons in total: 2x S.H.I.E.L.D. Sidearm, a Hand Cannon, a Plasma Pistol, a Sidearm and of course Bucky's Winter Rifle. Two of those upgrades, one S.H.I.E.L.D. Sidearm and the Sidearm, are acutally supposed to attach to Deathlok. Conveniently, he pulls the first one when he enters play. The other weapons are for Bucky himself.

2. Get some resource generators

Of course, priority number one is the Winter Soldier's Cybernetic Arm. Secondary targets are Martial Prowess and Man on the Wall. I included a Helicarrier as backup, but I've only used it in about half of my plays with this deck.

3. Shoot some minions!

Five events in this deck exhaust weapons to deal damage. Good old Fusillade works well, but the star of the arsenal is the new Firepower! When played with the Cybernetic Arm, it does 4 damage per exhausted weapon. You will have no problem meeting the maximum amount of allowed weapons and deal 3x 4 damage. Ideally, these smaller attacks target minions to use the Winter Soldier's Lethal Protector ability. To make sure you have enough minions, you can use the Safe House #30 and Spoiling for a Fight.

Last but not least, don't hesitate to spend charges of your weapons or exhaust them to boost the basic attack if needed. The deck contains enough weapon cards that you can easily afford to discard one or another.

Additional thoughts

The Target Spotter's sole purpose is for multiplayer action. When another player engages a minion, use the Target spotter to pull the minion instead. With his armor, the Winter Soldier can withstand a few attacks to help his teammates.

In the first draft of the deck, I had also included Jarnbjorn. I found that I rarely used it and didn't really need another weapon, ultimately preferring 40 instead of 41 cards.

If you play multiplayer or two-handed with Captain America, Super-Soldiers makes a great addition to the deck!

Thanks for reading, let me know what you think! :)

No Hall of Heroes? Maybe drop 1 Aggressive Stance for it?
