To start off I will say this isn’t a broken or busted deck or anything. This is more of a fun deck that is solid. That said, I think has a lot of potential as cards get added into the card pool.
Onto the deck itself. I got the idea from the deck I linked although it was a War Machine deck. I liked the idea of using Call for Aid with one Avenger to essentially tutor it out of your deck. So you might see 3 Call for Aid and only one Avenger in Captain Marvel and 2 Med Team and think this is a deck built around getting Captain Marvel into play and keeping her alive to draw a card every turn. And while yes, that is a potential path this deck can take, I find that in practice that plan is secondary.
The real plan is to use Iron Fist and Rapid Response to keep the villain stunned permanently, for all intents and purposes. But there is only one Iron Fist so the question is about how to consistently find one. That is where Call for Aid comes in. Call for Aid has a fairly reasonable chance to discard Iron Fist and then you can Make the Call him back from the discard pile. So really Call for Aid just adds to the decks consistency. Nick Fury is obviously also really good with Rapid Response and Make the Call.
The other ally to find is Nova who is actually pretty good with Finesse as it can pay the resources because Nova is an “aspect” card. This is also why Quincarrier is in the deck.
Outside of those two though some better non-Avenger units in Protection would really help the deck in giving it more options with Make the Call. That said, Luke Cage and Star-Lord are both fairly solid.
Another note is that an earlier version of the deck has The Triskelion but the protection cards in waves 1-4 sucked enough that I cut it just to eliminate a protection card from the deck.
