Tired of Big Thwarter or Jack-Of-All-Trades Deck Builds?
Looking to let your teammates do the thwarting while you play Multiplayer Agression focusing only on dealing huge amounts of damage to your enemies?
Then, Wolverine Lifestealer is just the thing for you.
This Deck will enable you to swiftly spring into action without having to build your gear. It's worth mentioning that you will benefit from taking a couple of turns to build your gear, but the important thing is that you don't need to, you can start swinging big from the first turn if that's what you prefer.
This deck is also thematic in a sense because your Survivability is extremely high. Wolverine just keeps healing himself up with cards like Moment of Triumph and Regenerative Healing without having to switch to alter-ego (except when his obligation appears).
So, how would you do it if you'd want to be methodical about it?
- Exploit the Setup Phase.
- Don your Adamantium and Equip your Weaponry.
- Snikt & Kill.
1. Exploit the Setup Phase.
If you're new to Wolverine, it's best to do a bit of research on how Wolverine's Claws work during setup and make a decision for yourself. Personally, we House-Rule Wolverine's Claws to be in-play before any other cards are being drawn.
With that said, during the mulligan you'd want to hard prioritize the following cards and ditch almost anything else:
In the extreme case where you draw all 6 of these cards in your first hand, you'll have some tough choices to make. Just skip the mulligan and try to keep some upgrades in your hand by only putting one upgrade on the table your first move.
On the other extreme if you see no upgrades in your first hand but just events and allies, feel free to mulligan your entire hand. You'll have plenty of events in your deck later on, so focusing on the most important upgrades right off the bat makes sense for Wolverine as his gear building is very quick compared to other heroes.
2. Don your Adamantium and Equip your Weaponry.
As mentioned before, during your first pass through the Deck complete Wolverine's Gear by prioritizing the following cards:
If you have time and space during your first pass through the Deck, feel free to also include the rest of his kit as well. For example, The X-Jet will be especially useful for bringing in your X-Men allies as Colossus will end up costing you only 2 resources (If you want, feel free to include their signature Team-Up card Fastball Special as well).
3. Snikt & Kill.
Between that much events in your Deck and your native abilities, you should already be dealing some serious damage to your enemies during your first pass through the Deck.
But after you've completed your gear in your first pass through the Deck, you'll be able to deal incredible amounts of damage all while healing yourself along the way. So, your teammates will soon stop whining about the negative side-effects of the Symbiote Suit and start thinking about how to include it into their decks as well.
If you've ever played DotA you know what Lifestealer means, and that's what this Deck represents. Stick to hero mode, snikt & kill and heal yourself in the process.
Have fun!
