So this deck was inspired by the Iron Man - Perfected 2.0. What a fun concept: stack a bunch of energy resources and then we blow up our enemy to kingdom come. I wanted to try a little spin on that. Here's my thought process: same idea, you want a lot of energy resources in the deck, but why not add some spice like a Pericles and some X-Men allies? But Jeff, are you gunking up the system because I'm bored at work and I'm looking for cheap thrills? That being said, we add Gambit to give us a chance to tuck away a mean card. Northstar, because he's basically a defense that has the sole purpose of having him on the table, hurting himself, and deleting a boost card. Because we have human compassion, we throw in Protective Training to give him more health, and we include a First Aid—he gets a Band-Aid on the first go. But wait, what if we're facing some massive damage coming our way? Well, that's why Nightcrawler is in our random squad—he's going to protect our X-Men characters. Quincarrier can feed our energy resources; we block with either Gambit or Northstar, and any damage coming—Night BAMFS to protect them. This gives Tony some protection, and we plan on having our energy barriers down as well, so in theory, this will be able to protect you while we get ready to melt the villain. Let me know your feedback—I'd love to hear it!

Apr 23, 2025North Star is such a good play here. Helps on protection AND is a lightning when you need it. Really cool. Saving this one to play later |
Apr 23, 2025Also another reason why gambit works well with Tony cause he can be lighting and he could tuck away a not so nice card |
