The general strategy is to play a sort of mid-range control game. In the early game, accumulate charge counters and play your upgrades and supports while easily handling minions (One by One can help widdle down the villains health in the process). In the mid to late game, start dealing large chunks of damage with fully charged attack events.

Creole charmer and Psylocke help to ensure that you can occasionally flip to alter ego for healing, using thief extraordinaire, or play/use weapon x. Digging deep and white fox can be discarded by weapon x, goldballs, or no quarter. Using gambits charge counters helps to ensure the maximum value out of cards like Precision strike and One by One. You can try to deal as much excess as possible with a No quarter to draw a lot of cards. Having 2 aggressive energy, 2 power of aggression, and 3 digging deep, makes it very easy and consistent to pay for No Quarter, Magik's ability, or getting rid of Gambit's obligation. Royal flush can typically deal 9 damage, but if you get lucky enough to use both Aggressive energies to play it, you can deal 15.

Love me some Gambit. This looks incredibly fun to play. Gonna have to add it to my list to try.
