I was really excited to get my favorite X-Men character. This deck is built to give protection to teammates while they have focused decks for aggressive play style. (threat or damage) It takes some setup but the damage from retaliate and Riposte does well to keep down minions on 3 players with just a little help from your damage teammate.
Angel's Aerie might not be essential but it makes this deck a beast to kill with 2+ counters a turn returning 5-6 life every few turns without exhausting your identity to recover.
The other things that really make this Deck move is your sabers and armor vest. 5 base defense makes most attacks easy to take with no damage, letting you save Riposte and Desperate Defense for big hits.
