Pool has a lot of powerful cards, but many of them are 1 per deck. By using Nadia's G.I.R.L. power, we can recur some of these great cards back into our deck, as long as they have the resource. If that's not enough, we will be turning her into a giant robot that can destroy everything by the end of the game!

G.I.R.L. targets:

Building The Gundam

Fully built out, giant form Wasp will be swinging for 8 damage, divided between targets as you choose, and can ready with Stick-To-Itiveness to do it again. This build out would require Laser Swords (with 4 symbols out), Combat Specialist, and Symbiote Suit. The maximum form isn't necessary, usually you can get to around 5 or 6 attack, which is going to be enough.

Other Thoughts

Try to keep your health high for the triple resources. Alter ego recovery, Tic-Tac-Toe, Healing Factor and Pym Particles will help with this. I like Face the Past for Wasp since her nemesis is not very threatening.

Nick Fury and Professor X LOVE to take the blow from Get in Front of Me! and Not my Responsibility!

Mulligan has to be the first card you PLAY that turn, but if you can use up cards in your hand without actually playing them, you can get extra value here. For this we have Stick-To-Itiveness, Tic-Tac-Toe, and Plot Convenience.

Solo and Card Swaps

The deck is still solo viable, but you get the most value here in multiplayer games where your friends and their allies can Get in Front of You. Flipping to alter ego is also much easier in multiplayer than solo. Not my Responsibility will help a lot if you want to try this deck solo. Since it isn't a hero action, you can use it when flipped down. Then use G.I.R.L. to cycle it right back into the deck. You also can cycle Professor X back into the deck for solo play.

An easy card to remove to get to the perfect 40 cards would be Plot Convenience. It's nice to combo with Mulligan, but isn't crucial here.

The Pool ally choices are really up to you. I think Bob is fantastic for giving Laser Swords icons, he can just sit there and negate the acceleration gain he gives each turn by himself. Negasonic Teenage Warhead has been useful to me, but feel free to switch her out for another one like Dogpool, Headpool or Kidpool.

Oh wow, recurring good Pool one ofs is an awesome idea!

It had never occurred to me to try to recur some of the Pool cards with mental resources. That’s a great combo that I want to try! Also the healing and triple resources help her cost curve a lot. Nice!

@turtles04 Thanks!

@Caldias Thanks! Her alter ego ability is by far my favorite thing about Wasp

@boomguy Yep! Triple resources are the #1 draw to playing Pool for me. With this deck, you typically can stick Self Control back in the deck at least 2-3 times each game, which makes for a really speedy set up!

@HeroicSkeleton I thought I'd make this comment directly here instead of on my YouTube video. I just finished reading your write-up (which is really nicely done by the way), and I see now why you commented on my video -- your thinking was pretty much the same as mine (though yours came first, of course).

When I play test your deck for the 2-deck comparison, are there any changes you want to make for solo? You mentioned in your writeup that Plot Convenience could be removed. I was thinking that might be a good idea for solo. As great a card as it is, I find I never end up using it. I'm guessing you use it a lot more in your multiplayer games, but I wouldn't know on my end since multiplayer isn't really an option for me.

@AbisMal Yes, you can remove plot convenience. It might be too slow for solo. The 2 pool allies can be swapped with any others. You just need a few icons out, doesnt matter which ones. Adding an extra ally would probably help, and you might want to drop Specialized Training. 5 can be a bit much in solo.

Okay, nice. Those were pretty much along the same lines I was thinking. I do like those Mulligans. Whether or not the mana sinks get used, those will help get Moon Girl and Nick Fury more often, which I hadn't really thought about in my own deck. I would think that would be a high payoff. I'll remove Specialized Training and Plot Convenience. I was thinking Ironheart might make a good additional ally with her card draw and mental resource if you like that choice.

@HeroicSkeleton I'll probably put in Headpool for Negasonic for the amplify icon in place of the hazard icon. I have played Negasonic before and taken advantage of her cancelation of "When Revealed" on treacheries, but the risk from other types of cards can be a bit much from the extra encounter cards in solo.

@HeroicSkeleton Hey, I just played my first two games with your deck against Klaw (first standard, then expert), and I have to say it was a mistake for me NOT to include Laser Swords in my own deck. What a cool card in a Wasp deck! I still have two other villains to face before I make the 2-deck comparison video, but I just wanted to make a quick comment. :-)

@AbisMal awesome! I'm glad you like it. I'm looking forward to the video. Laser Swords are very good, especially with the ability to divide the damage and take out a bunch of minions. It's the main win con in my deck, but your deck does have all those extra pool allies that are dealing some damage. You could always add it in to your deck for the comparison too, if you want. Could be interesting to see if that card is equally good in both

@HeroicSkeleton Actually, that's a cool idea, especially since I've already covered my deck in the other video, and my intention is to focus on your deck in the 2-deck comparison and have mine mostly available as a reference and for the comparisons (and then refer to my other video for those who want more details on it).  Modifying my deck and trying it out in that way should add an extra interesting element to the video that the other 2-deck comparisons don't have. Thanks!

@HeroicSkeleton Okay, the 2-deck comparison video is coming out first thing tomorrow morning (Saturday). :-)
