This deck is meant to be played alongside my Colossus and Iceman (yellow and green, respectively) decks: https://marvelcdb.com/decklist/view/41278/a-song-of-steel-ice-flesh-and-blood-1.0 and https://marvelcdb.com/decklist/view/41280/a-song-of-steel-ice-flesh-and-blood-1.0
This deck is ALL about doing tons of damage so Colossus can thwart/protect, and Iceman can defend for Wolverine. Starting with the allies, I had to throw Deadpool in there to keep a thematic approach, and in case you're feeling spicy and want to make things more brutal! Glob and Shark-Girl are in there to take advantage of the upgrade attachments Marked and Gatekeeper, which give us more ATK, overkill, and remove threat! Magik and Psylocke are in here to get rid of annoying minions and for help with preventing SCH.
I've carefully chosen my red events to do take advantage of Wolverine's claws, which allow us not only to get piercing, of course, but to pay for Full Body Charge when we don't draw Lunging Strike (and since Wolverine will always be losing health, Full Body Charge should be able to also give us overkill). Drop Kick gives us stun and is to be used in concert with Martial Prowess, kind of similar to Sense of Justice in my Colossus deck. Looking for Trouble means we will have threat removal and minions in play to use attachments and red events...and when we're low on health, we will do more damage with Now I'm Mad, which also synergizes nicely with Looking for Trouble AND Blood Rage. We'll do even MORE damage because of Now I'm Mad, Adamantium Skeleton, AND Combat Training...and if that wasn't enough, if we played an attack event, our attack goes even HIGHER with Fluid Motion. Consistent excess damage activates Follow Through, which also synergizes with overkill and helps us damage the villain while clearing the board! Surprise Move helps us ready, and finally, Hall of Heroes and Logan's Cabin gives us card draw and recursion from the discard pile. "I Got Better" means that when we eventually die, which we will, we rise from the ashes ready to do it all over again.
