Spider-Man: Swinging Web-(side)-kick

This is a deck built mainly because I wanted to try out the new Sidekick cards from Age of Apocalypse. I thought about which heroes had good signature allies, and came up with Spider-Man and Black Cat at a good foundation to build on...

This is a (mostly) themed deck which managed to get Black Cat out and powered up pretty quickly. Three copies of Suit Up help to find her and Sidekick as early as possible, which then lets you use Side-by-Side consistently. Very useful for readying Spider-Man when you do have to exhaust to defend with him.

A few carefully chosen allies are targets for Suit Up when Black Cat is already out, and the ally attachments are included both to allow this card to work and to power up Black Cat and your other allies as you build the team. Stacking Sidearm and Inspired on Black Cat lets her attack for 3 damage for free. This only increases when you manage to Lead from the Front or work Side-by-Side, giving you big turns with both Spider-Man and Black Cat.

Deadpool works suprisingly well as a target for attachments too, as you can choose to keep him out when he's fully loaded - if you think you can handle an acceleration token. The real weakness of this deck is a lack of thwarting ability, relying on allies to keep the threat under control. I might revisit this list as I play the deck more and add in some extra thwart somehow - whether through events or some more disposable allies.

It's a fun deck and was a nice way of trying out the Sidekick trait. For someone who's never really got on with the Leadership aspect, it's nice when some new cards come along and give you a bit of inspiration!
