The important things to get out are the resource generators; helicarrier, symbiote suit, ingenuity, etc.
once you have those it's all about smash, ready, smash baby.
I keep a sideboard of cards to swap in and out depending on the Villain. No minions? Swap anticipation with ready to rumble. Don't care about the encounter deck much? Even widow and ingenuity can be dropped. Minions you don't want to have the reveal or boost effects to happen? Throw in pinned down.
This doesn't take long to set up and even with no setup hulk will always be ready to smash. His insane health pool and recovery means he controls threat via prevention, by almost never flipping down and if he gets obligated to he only needs to recover once.
Of course another card to put in the sideboard is unshakable if the Villain stuns or confuses.
