WARNING:

Play this deck at your own risk. By choosing to assemble 40 cards in this way you accept the possibility of catastrophic failure.

Star-Lord is a natural fit for the Pool aspect, it exemplifies that "high risk, high reward" attitude that he already has in spades. Allies without consequential can be very powerful with Leader of the Guardians and any extra encounter cards you earn serve to make Star-Lord's Helmet, Gutsy Move, and Sliding Shot more powerful.

Lets walk through some of the deck's features:

Build Support

This deck makes critical use of Build Support. It is the only way we can get IPAC into play, and IPAC is a phenomenal card for Star-Lord; an extra encounter card AND draw 2? What's not to love?

Note: This becomes much easier to do in a multiplayer setting. If multiple people are running Build Support it becomes much easier to see IPAC early.... and Build Support is just great for the whole team as well

Allies

As I mentioned above, Pool allies are quite good for Star-Lord, and using Deadpool Corps Ship to put them in play for free is a great way to pick up extra encounter cards!

Readies

Using Stick-To-Itiveness and Daring Escape Star-Lord has a few readies at his disposal. We're going to capitalize on this by playing Symbiote Suit and Laser Swords. These cards pair well with each other.

Safety

Dealing yourself so many encounter cards can be.... dangerous, so there are several tools we can use to help mitigate that. Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Git Gud, Healing Factor, and Break Time all serve to help alleviate the pain of resolving so many every turn. The great thing about these cards is that most of them help the whole team, so your friends won't hate you (too much)! Plot Convenience can also be useful here by allowing you to store cards like Break Time and 'Pool Inspection and play them at the best time.

Until next time, so long, good luck, and goodbye. May you live until you die;)
