The obvious strategy for Hawkeye is to hide behind allies. With this build he can do a lot of his own blocking when allies are scarce or block for teammates.

Because you just need his bow to be standing to use the arrows, you can still do the best action of your turn while knelt (sticks tongue out at Doctor Strange).

This deck really takes off in the final battle with Red Skull when you get the upgraded version of Improved Defense. You you are very likely to draw more Improved X cards than anyone else.

When blocking the villain seems risky, you can still block a minion attack to trigger Unflappable. Of particular note is that Desperate Defense works very well against The Sleeper.
