Expert Ronan FTK (continued)

To reiterate, this FTK is a two hero team up between Cable and Drax. This is not possible with every combination of heroes.

Starting hand/Mulligan

You want to mulligan hard for DWI theet mastery. Generally cards you can feel free to discard are Intimidation, Mantis, Payback, Drax's other knife and too stubborn to die.

Note: If you don't draw into DWI theet mastery once you no longer have draw options (like taunt, Fight me coward, nick fury, etc..) then simply scoop as this FTK isn't possible without this upgrade.

General Strategy

Ready as much as possible and destroy the villain with a bunch of basic attacks. You want to try to up Drax's basic attack with cards like repurpose and Drax's knife as well as his vengeance counters (i.e. his ability). When Drax begins his turn, he'll have +2 atk thanks to blaze of glory.

At the start, you're trying to build up his vengeance counters. Every atk boost counts and not to mention you want to be drawing as much as possible before having to commit to a play. That is why having taunts early on are important. If it's possible make sure to play out your energy barriers to prevent some of the damage. Drax will be taking a lot of damage as well as retaliate damage from stage 3 so you really want to minimize the damage you take before discarding energy barrier for repurpose. Early repurpose plays are also advised for the +2 atk boost. The earlier you get an atk boost the more long term benefit it provides.

Play out your taunts as you get them. Every card you play and every card you use as a resource counts for something and will determine your chances of successfully completing this FTK. The difficulty of running this deck is determining what cards you play and what cards are used as resources.

Once, you build up your attack. Keep readying and smashing the villain with attacks. Since, you'll have DWI theet mastery out you'll be drawing a card every time you make a basic attack to keep Drax's fuel going.

Tips:

• Make sure you have at minimum 5hp entering stage 3. He will retaliate and anything less than 5 hp will unlikely suffice and even 5 hp is pushing it.
• When entering stage 3, you want to make sure you have your 3 vengeance counters on Drax as well as a knife leap in hand. This will help deal with the tough status since it provides piercing and will save you an attack.
• If you don't get DWI theet mastery by the time all your drawing abilities have been used up then scoop and move on to the next attempt.
• Repurpose and leading blows are you friend. Leading blow convert to 2 draws with DWI theet mastery. Make sure to repurpose as early as possible to get the attack boost benefit.
• Use Cable's allies as chump blockers if he has any readied allies.
• Have fun!

Other card options to consider:

• Helicarrier: Only use this card if the Cable player opted to play Build Support. If you decide to play it remove either the power of protection, 1 copy of what doesn't kill me, or 1 copy of return the favor. You decide.
• Preservation: Heals Drax for 1 which can come in handy as he will be taking a lot of damage. Exchange this with a copy of the power of protection if you plan on using it.
