I created a few decks that use some of the new cards with our older friends.
This is using Power of the Mind to help offset Jean's expensive kit and Psimitar to push the efficiency of her cards!

Have you tried Team Building Exercise by any chance? I think for her TBE>X-Gene, ok, you can't use it to pay for P Firebird but you can use it on allies, P Assault and you don't need to be in AE for it to hit the table
