I love this deck for multiplayer.
Obviously, in single player, Wolverine's events and claws cut through any villain quickly. In Multiplayer, the higher health pools make it a little harder. This deck makes a health pool of 30+ feel like 12.
Here's the goal:
- Build up Wolverine's attack stat with Adamantium Skeleton, Combat Training, Godslayer (specifically for attacking the villain or elite minions) and Fluid Motion. Symbiote Suit is optional, but the game ends so quick that the extra encounter card doesn't really matter.
- Use Adamantium Skeleton, Endurance and Symbiote Suit to make a huge HP pool for Wolverine, meaning a huge resource generator.
- Use allies to defend to keep Wolverine up. Utopia is included with exclusively X-Men allies to keep Wolverine readied or add a second attack. Look for Collossus for the 3-cost ally that comes out with tough and can defend twice.
- Use Wolverine's claws to pay for attack events and exhaust your first fluid motion and take off a tough status. Pay for your next attack event to exhaust your second fluid motion.
- Swing for 8-10 on your basic attack, include a Skilled Strike for +2 to make it 10-12. I've taken out all of a villain's phase one HP with one attack event, a basic attack, Utopia to ready and Jubilee.
After a two-three round setup, I've found myself taking two to three turns to annihilate villains with this build.
NOTE: I've seen a lot of people use Mean Strike for the +3 attack but in this build you need to use your claws to activate Fluid Motion for the boon to your attack. With Skilled Strike and Fluid Motion the math works out like 2+1+Attack event. Much more beneficial to tearing the villain apart.
