I made this deck randomly in the sense that I am trying to go through random villains, mod sets, with random heroes and aspects. My first in this series I got Kang Standard with Children of Thanos (I plan on using what's on the back of the main scheme for set up and if it requires one optional or two, that's how I determine what random mod set I will choose).

Simplistic in the sense that I wanted to have a deck to have a large sum thwart, but also some power behind it. Realizing Cap's great hero-specific cards, choosing Clear the Area was "clear" to me. 2 threat removed and since it's solo most likely will take the last one off. Brains over Brawns I chose because of Cap's Fearless Determination and Heroic Intuition. If I am at 4 thwart, now I can have 4 damage. The last set of events is the standard Impede. I used to use For Justice!, however I like the idea of having a card left over, for when Cap's needing to ready.

By the way, I played Kang Standard twice, because of a misplay with Kang III the first time, and the second time went through Kang I and Variant Scarlet Centurion with ease after the setup included two Super-Soldier Serum and a Helicarrier.

Ally choices were again for solo play, Venom because I thought most likely there would be no threat and therefore he only takes one consequential. Nick Fury was a must with Cap and Machine Man was really in case I was stunned or needed to get tough off, I could use him and three resources while I was stunned or attack for one to remove Tough.

Counterintelligence was nice especially with Kang because of the Obligations.

Obviously this is only with Kang, however I feel like it is decent enough to take on other Standard villains with some adjustments perhaps. Expert will only come when playing a couple more standard.
