My goal for this deck is to maximize Gamora's Finesse and Precision responses to consistently remove 2 more threat and deal 2 more damage each round.
The deck is balanced between attack and thwart events (15 each) to activate both finesse and precision every turn. It also balanced between the hero and villain phases - out of 28 events, half of them can be activated during the villain phase ("You'll Pay for That!", Counter-Punch, Crosscounter, First Hit, True Grit).
You'll get into a rhythm of playing Gamora's cheap and efficient attack and thwart events during the hero phase, then play the aspect response cards to attack and thwart on the villain phase. Since finesse and precision can be used in both phases, you can consistently remove 2 more threat and deal 2 more damage.
Unlike many protection decks, you are not packed with defense events and upgrades since both "You'll Pay for That!" and Momentum Shift requires you to take damage. For this reason I added Electrostatic Armor instead of Armored Vest to punish enemies more instead of increasing my defense value. I added Down Time and Endurance to help with her health, knowing that Gamora will be taking damage.
I also added Drax just because he's my favorite ally right now. Once you play him you'll know the villain will steadily go down twelve health, allowing you to comfortably focus on clearing minions and schemes.
This deck changes the decision-making up a bit in a fun way. Instead of just deciding which cards to play and which to use as resources, you have to decide which cards to play during the hero phase versus the villain phase. This gives a different layer to the scenarios and to me makes them more engaging. They also fly by very quickly, as you are consistently delivering two extra damage a turn.
