This is the final list I used to complete GMW on Standard in True Solo. I personally did not think that this campaign could be done in True Solo given the extreme nature of it, but with some luck and determination IT CAN BE DONE!
I ended each scenario with the following credits:
- Drang: 5 credits (didn't end on 1B)
- Collector 1: 6 credits (Gamora is very good at keeping the collection clean!)
- Collector 2: 2 credits (win + side challenge)
- Nebula: 1 credit (this fight was a nightmare and I gave up on credits to win)
The Market cards I had at the end of the campaign (in order of pick-up):
- Ardent Resolve
- Targeting Screen (ended up not very necessary for Gamora)
- Creative Solution
- Brainstorm
The list shown here was the final list used to defeat Ronan. Prior to the Ronan fight, the list for the other 4 scenarios was:
-1x Groot -1x Ironheart -1x Quake -1x Wiccan -3x Piercing Strike -1x Surprise Attack -3x Swift Retribution +2x Multitasking +2x Momentum Shift +2x Clobber +1x Jessica Jones +1x Spider-Man, Peter Parker +2x Lay Down the Law +1x Under Surveillance
I honestly can not believe I have completed this campaign on True Solo. I wish I could say it was a good time, but this box is just a whole different beast than the rest of Marvel Champions.
I do look forward to playing some of these fights as stand alone now - and experimenting with the modules used (I always use recommended for campaign play). So there is that. And I do look forward to adding the new modules to older scenarios.
Likewise I look forward to using the new heroes in RoRS - as I love playing through that campaign.
I really hope that the next campaign box takes the good aspects of this one (the market + the side challenges [when not unreasonable]) and leaves out the negatives (amount of surge + setup "bonuses" for the villains). I think there is a lot to learn from this campaign, especially when it comes to the True Solo experience. So I am hopeful that the next box is "Perfectly balanced, as all things should be."
