Innate double resources are always nice, it just would've been nice if it had a secondary effect when spent or drawn via his hero ability, such as drawing a card. Technically it gives him action boosts but that's dependent on having the upgrade out, otherwise it's just a plain ol' double, nothing fancy to speak of.
