DECK EDIT - Remove Beast ally, because it doesn't have synergy with this deck
This deck is a Voltron deck that capitalizes on Gunboat Diplomacy, and is able to dish out 12 THW and 13 ATK when fully built out. Here's how to do it!
Turn 1: You are looking for Hope Summers of Gambit to play on Turn 1. Hard Mulligan for either, or a Suit Up to tutor them out. If you play Gambit hopw for a 3 boost card, but 2 or 1 is okay. If you are unlucky to get 0 boost pips, use him as a blocker to kill him off and then Make the Call for him later. Stay in AE into turn 2 using your ally to Thwart
Turn 2: Search for the other ally with a Suit Up and play it. Keep these two allies in play for the rest of the game. Flip to Hero form and start Voltroning both allies with Ingenuity, Mission Training and Comms Implant. Hope needs Children of the Atom to be played to get Danger Room Training on her, and Gambit needs Honorary Guardian played on him to use Comms Implant.
Once you have them all Voltroned up, Hope will have 5 THW and Gambit will have 4-6 THW.
When you play Gunboat Diplomacy, it will Thwart and Attack for 11. Combine this with Gamora's Finesse and Precision abilities and Gamora'a Sword, and that is 12THW and 13ATK for one resource.
When Gunboat is not available, feel free to use regular activations and heal the allies with Triage and First Aid.
Ways to tutor Gunboat:
1 - Putting Gunboat at the bottom if you Mulliganed it in the beginning with Conditioning Room.
2 - Playing Nebula
3 - Using Make the Call to Tutor Nebula

Dec 28, 2024Black Panther can only tutor leadership events right? So at best, he is an indirect tutor/recursion for gunboat, not direct. |

Dec 28, 2024Awesome Deck I really love it. A leadership deck that doesn't kill your allies. I made some small changes. Kid Omega and Deadpool instead of Gambit and hope. Cheaper and I don't waste the ETB Effect of Hope and 2 realiable twart instead of 0-3 from gambit. Also added Hit and Run (because of Advanced Glider) |

Omg. Gunboat Diplomacy being both attack and thwart is such a great call making it work with Gamora.
My favorite part is how much effort was put into the consistency of the each key to the deck. You didn’t leave things to “good luck drawing things and in the right order.” But you gave us ways to tutor the necessary pieces!
